About
About Coupon Rook
A rook is a sharp-eyed crow that only keeps what is worth keeping. This site does the same with deals: free tools that check a sale price against the prices you actually saw, and calendars for the dates that matter between Black Friday and the new year.
What it is
Coupon Rook has a real-deal checker, the Black Friday 2026 dates with a countdown, Christmas shipping deadlines from eight carriers, a price watchlist, a pay-later planner and a return deadline tracker, plus a plain guide to coupon codes. It is built for shoppers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and the EU, and prices work in any currency.
Where the facts come from
Every rule and date on a page is cited in its “Sources” section, from the law itself, the regulator, or the organisation that names the day: EUR-Lex, legislation.gov.uk, the CMA, the FTC, the ACCC, Canada’s Competition Bureau, the FCA, GOV.UK and each carrier’s own Christmas page. Where only Wikipedia was available, the page says so. Dates that depend on the year were checked on 2 November 2026, and if a date was not published yet we say that instead of guessing.
What it can’t do
The checker only knows the prices you enter, so it can’t see what a shop charged when you weren’t looking, and it never says that any shop has broken a rule. The rules pages are general consumer information, not legal or financial advice.
How it works
The tools run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, there are no accounts, ads or cookies, and the pages keep working offline once loaded. The watchlist, planner and return tracker are saved in your browser’s local storage. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking and never receives what you type into the tools. The privacy page has the details.
